The looks and function of this rack are great. We purchased 3 to put up in our home and really like the. The mounting slots are 12inches apart, making it difficult (impossible) to stud mount with 16inch spacing. The do provide drywall plugs for use, but I prefer to mount something like this to the studs. Also, I would like to see a direct mounting design, not the slide lock design that this rack has. If pulled upward, the whole mount slides off the wall. Some fine tuning of the screw depth helps with this, but I would like to see the screws go through the unit and into the wall, not in the wall and the unit slides onto them. All-in-all, good rack for light weight items.

These hooks look very nice...the first one I ordered came scratched out of the box and I returned it for a replacement. It comes with a smart little paper guide used to place the screws into your wall. DO NOT go off this guide. The guide and the holes on the back of the mount did not match up. I did not check this before hand and paid the price. The look really nice though, just measure the holes on the back with your own ruler...

The idea and style of this rack is great, but the funcionality of it really stinks if you assume its to be used for caots. The hooks are about 4" apart and there are 5 of them in a very short rack. There is no way you can put 5 normal sized coats on the rack and have them fit without overcrowding one another. It works well for helmets, dog leashes, goggle, and very light jackets or hoodies. The quality is good, but consider something else if you are using this for coats, jackets or any item of real substance.
