| 7 of 7 people found the following review helpful  Works fine., By Amazon Verified Purchase This rack works just fine (as one would expect from a rack like the one shown in the image).The metal pipes are sturdy and I have never had an issue with them bending (I bought 6 of them to store clothes on in a storage area). The width of the rack is adjustable by pulling the side upper tubes out from the rack (they slide inside the center tube). Once you have them extended to the length you want, you lock the side tubes in place by twisting on the T connectors to tighten the extension tubes. The construction of the plastic parts is ok. My guess is that one would break the plastic parts long before the tubes would bend. The wheels are plastic. Assembly is easy (you will need a hammer and two blocks of wood). You pound the metal tubes into the base and T connectors. I placed the wooden blocks on each end of the tube with pounding so as to not damage the tubes. For shirts I suppose it would be fine, but I hung 3 suits and a couple jackets and it collapses all the time. I would recommend buying a commercial rack, my family has had the same problem with these types of racks so I would just pay the extra money and get better quality. |
