They can be bought in bulk and that's economical. However, these hangers have a feature that I DON'T like. They are flimsy and just not strong enough to hold heavier clothing even just for a day or two. Sure, you can use these to hang up tee shirts, regular shirts and maybe a few ties--but that's about it. I consistently find that when I use the bar to hang jeans, trousers and slacks the plastic bar of the hanger sooner or later bends downward, allowing my clothing to wrinkle. Not good! I definitely would NOT hang a man's or woman's suit on this hanger. It just won't keep the natural shape of the suit. Of course, when you add in shipping charges they do get a little more expensive.For those that know plastic hangers, these are not the bigger, thicker, more sturdy type - they are on the smaller end of thickness. You can bend them by hand with little effort. So I would suggest if you are going to hang heavy garmets on them, then you might want to find a "thicker" hanger.
