I do not remember seeing that in the description and it was simply referred to as the backer in the instructions. I had expected it to be all the same material. By the time I discovered it, I had already trucked it to my new home at the coast and needed to get it together for some additional storage in my garage. Check the descriptions from this company carefully and ask about the back. It's held tightly together with long screws, rather than the typical hex key type assembly that eventually comes loose & makes the furniture unstable. I believe the quality of this wardrobe matches the price. It is solid & sturdy enough to meet the purpose and I greatly appreciated the easy assembly. The cheap back piece wasn't unexpected and isn't a concern if the wardrobe is placed against a wall. |
