Thius closet rod is much better than the standard rod. It is larger in diameter and that makes it very strong. It is not to large for hangers.

I bought it because it was Satin Nickel and 8 foot long. I'm glad I did because it is very beefy and should be able to hold a ton of wardrobe. Great for a custom built closet and to get organized. It is very sturdy and kind of on the heavy side. Stanley also makes some matching rod holders.

These rods are the best that you will find. I re-built the closet organizer in the master bedroom and decided to go with these as they seem heavy duty and looked great. Well, let me tell you--they are heavy duty and look even better. If you want the best, go with these rods.
